"Waiting at the Night Cafe" got First Place at the Wimberley Valley Art League juried show which opened last night. While I was painting it I kept trying to remember where I'd taken the reference photo and kept thinking it must have been somewhere in southern France. But at the show someone asked me where it was and I suddenly recognized the setting: Whole Foods in downtown Austin! "Swans' Focus" got an honorable mention.
