Our lives are permeated with stories of all shapes, sizes and flavors, most of which we have little conscious awareness. As a child I loved illustrations, and as an adult I worked as an illustrator. But simply illustrating a given story is limiting. Now that I'm free to paint what I want, I choose more ambiguity in my subject matter.
looks beautiful. i like how the bag lines up in a column with her shoulders, and how one leg is vertical (lining up with the edge of the brick wall) and the other leg parallels the angle of the bench hand-rail on the far right. Its almost like an unconscious clock pointing at "5 pm" as she waits for the bus.
