The sculpture in this painting seems to cause some confusion, so
I've simplified the composition by removing it.
Our lives are permeated with stories of all shapes, sizes and flavors, most of which we have little conscious awareness. As a child I loved illustrations, and as an adult I worked as an illustrator. But simply illustrating a given story is limiting. Now that I'm free to paint what I want, I choose more ambiguity in my subject matter.
